INTRO TO UTILITY VEGETATION MANAGEMENT

Intro to UVM

The U.S. electrical grid is massive, with more than 200,000 miles of high-voltage transmission lines and 5.5 million miles of distribution lines connecting thousands of generation plants and substations to communities. Electricity is vital, and comprehensive utility vegetation management is key to safe, reliable power. In this webinar, you'll learn how utility arborists effectively manage vegetation within rights-of-way in the face of climate change, severe storms, and wildland fire, as well as annual vegetation growth — all with an approach of safety, tree health, ANSI standards, best management practices, state and federal regulations, and even habitat creation and monitoring.
